The Mahabharat is one of the most famous Hindu scriptures which has been translated to more than 40 languages. There is a vast number of interpretations and views on The Mahabharat. In the Mahabharat epic, Vyasa has said that Pandu’s son was supposed to be killed by Bheeshma on the condition of his first born son being married to Tara's daughter. The story of Pandu being cursed by sage Vyasa to have only one wife is related centuries later in the Mahabharata. Vyasa's curse is mentioned in many stories of Hindu mythology, including that of King Bali, but the exact origin of the curse is not clear. The story evolves on through different versions and interpretations by different writers. Hindu authors have interpreted this story differently due to their own beliefs and beliefs on religion.
